About

Rollin' Stitches is a Grenada based business specializing in Marine Upholstery, Sail Making, Repair and Soft Furnishes. Our loft is nestled in the heart of Woburn over-looking Clark's Court Marina.

Rollin Stitches has been part of the island for many years and we pride ourselves on giving the yachting community a great product with friendly, professional service.

Decades of knowledge in the marine & sewing industry have given us the ability to bridge the gap between functionality and form.

Every project undertaken is unique and treated as such.

At Rollin' Stitches, we are passionate about giving our clients the right goods for their needs. We work closely with boat owners to ensure a finished product they can be proud of.

Rollin' Stitches also runs an apprenticeship training program throughout the year, to teach aspiring Sailmakers the ropes. We give them the practical experience needed to follow an exciting career in this wonderful industry that spans every corner of the globe.

SERVICES

Rollin' Stitches designs and manufactures soft furnishings for all boats. We manufacture cockpit & saloon cushions, sun screens, hatch covers, mattresses, bespoke bedding & sheets.
We can also design and make up a range of different covers, leather goods, general bags, and mosquito screens. 

In the sail department, we can assist with restitching, some repairs and manufacturing of small sails for hobie cats and dinghys.  

We work with local and USA suppliers to source the best fabrics for your needs and we will also process your import papers to reduce taxes & duties etc.

Marine Upholstery and Sail Making is an international business. 
There are Sail lofts in every corner of the globe and a huge demand for experienced staff and professional products.
Not only would this introduction course be beneficial to someone who wants to enter the Marine Industry or work in a sail loft, but it would be equally useful to:
 
An entrepreneur looking to start a small business at a low cost 
A crew member on a sailboat looking to increase their skills and add value to the team.
A Boat owners who want to reduce costs by having the skill set to repair and upholsterer their own boats. 

Although this is a stand alone course, students can go on to enjoy our intermediate and advanced courses down the line, and further enhance their skill set in this trade.


Graduates will have the fundamental skills to repair sails, template their
own patterns for cushions, sunshades etc, and manufacture the items.  
The course will also focus on different textile applications for sail boats and provide a step by step program from start to finish on how to make fabricated goods and even a small sail!

 

Aside from classroom & loft training, students will also be taken out to local Marinas to meet with clients and learn important marine terms, etiquette and the processes of measuring, pattern making and fitting aboard sailboats.

During the 4 week class, there will be opportunities to go sailing, scuba diving and sight seeing.
Grenada is known as the Spice Isle of the Caribbean and is home to a thriving Yachting community as well as the renowned St George's Medical University and Veterinary College. 
It is the perfect island getaway to meet people from all over the world and enjoy the natural wonders we often take for granted! 


Fruit trees line the streets and dinner can be caught off the dock.
Break away from the hustle and bustle while you increase your skill set and enjoy the offerings of this beautiful island and it's culture!

We have tailored this course to be an all inclusive learning experience. 
We have taken the hassle out of the planning which gives you the chance to enjoy the moment and make the most out of your Caribbean Experience.  

 

From the time you arrive in Grenada, we will have coordinators available around the clock to get you settled, show you around the island and make sure that you are comfortable.  Grenada has a rich, local culture, delicious cuisine and beautiful landscapes. There will be many opportunities to enjoy water sports, hiking, diving, sailing, or simply relaxing on a tropical, sandy beach!

Accommodation in a top class Airbnb will be provided as well as 2 meals a day. A shared room in a villa
overlooking an infinity pool and Benji Bay. A tranquil black sand beach only a 1 min walk down the
garden path. AC, Wifi, Washing Machine and all the necessary furnishes / appliances. Transport to and
from the Loft will be provided as needed. Assignments and research can be done in the comfort of your
room or our communal lounge area, or while you relax by the pool in the afternoon. 


No prior experience is needed, although, a willingness to learn, step out of your comfort zone and
immerse yourself in this exciting industry is highly recommended.
